Meet Our Board Members

We are so excited to have assembled this group of amazing, smart and talented individuals to help guide Through The Trees in delivering our vision and mission to our community!

KRISTI SANFASIN, Secretary

Kristi Sanfasin is a mother of 3 living and working in Portland, ME. She has spent her career in the insurance industry with a focus on project management. She brings to the Board an innate desire for organization and drive for success. She looks forward to supporting the Board through collaboration, peer accountability and humor.

AMANDA COTE, Treasurer

Amanda is a proven financial leader with over a decade of experience working in government, non-profit, and private sector accounting. She runs her own accounting, bookkeeping and consulting business out of Scarborough, ME. She has two young children who will likely be future Through The Trees attendees. She loves connecting with nature and has always found that connection to be very grounding.

LEE CATALDO, Director

Lee Cataldo has been working in non-profit land conservation and restoration for over a decade. She values Through The Trees mission of supporting young people to be comfortable on the land and mindful members of their community. Mom of two kids, Lee loves to garden, read, and get outside in a canoe, on cross-country skis, or any way she can. The family lives in Brunswick on a small homestead, but has spent part of 2023 living on the North Shore of Oahu, where they feel deep connections as well.

CEIBA CROW, Director

Ceiba has always loved working with young children and has plenty of experience from being a big sister to three younger siblings. She grew up always being outside in nature, camping, gardening, learning about medicinal plants and exploring forests. Teaching and exploring various art projects with children is a passion, with her favorite mediums being painting, photography and printmaking. Ceiba values being a positive role model to children and all the kids in our younger cohorts adore her!
